Sick Delaney

After being sick last week with hand, foot, and mouth disease Delaney has started to peel shed her skin like a snake. It's been going on for two weeks now. Her pads of her feet and heels started tonight. She doesn't say it's painful, but acts like it is at times. It's like when you have a blister and the old skin comes off and just the new red skin is left. It's like that all over her feet, it's terrible looking. Kevin has been cutting off the dead skin, I just can't do that part, and we keep it clean and lotion on it with socks all the time too. We are so glad it's not summer with crocs and sand.

Girl's night

I had a fun night with my best friends. We went to McHale's, then the Rock Hill Community Theatre to see Second City comedy show and then we hung out in the beautiful weather on Tracy's front porch, shrewish we could have more of these nights. It's quite difficult with 10 children between us.

Sneak peak

Here is a sneak peak of our Halloween costumes. Not to mention Blake loving on his sister. I love seeing them interact together.

Sibling love

We have had a lot of sibling riverlry lately between the big kids and between Blake and Coalson. I think it's because Blake in finally standing up for what he believes in, and has an opinion that he doesn't hold back as much with those he is comfertable with anymore. I am glad for him and round of him, but boy is it tough dealing with them and it makes me sad seeing them fight when I know how much they love each other and that they are each other's favorite friend no matter what. These pictures remind me of that. I know they are sox happy with each other!

Wagon rides

The big kids loved taking Lilli Jane on her first wagon ride today. She enjoyed it and did well. We went down in the cul-de-sac. They learned what this was and I believe we are now at the point that we will be able to enjoy it with bike riding and wagon rides. Finally living on one is worth it for the kids.

The simple things

Nothing like seeing a pile of your own kids laying around together. We just got a new couch and they are all enjoying it together.

Sleeping girls

So sweet! Yes, that is Delaney sleeping in the baby bed beside her big bed.

Ready for church

We had a little photo session before church today,

I am so proud of OBC and all they are teaching our kids already. Both big kids can say a few Bible verses, The Lord's Prayer, and sing many songs. They can both sit through the first part of church until it's time for them to leave and understand that we donate money to help other people. They know that a missionary is someone that goes where God tells them to spread His love and that we can be missionaries in our own backyard by giving the mission center things that we don't need anymore or have outgrown. I am proud that they choose their Bible to read at night and want to pray at meals and nighttime. I feel like we are on the right path, but couldn't be there without our church family. Thank you OBC whip for what you have meant to me for 32 years and what you mean to my children already.

Orin's birthday party

Delaney, Maleah, and Donna are all in Orin's class this year at school. They enjoyed playing and eating together at his party.

Lilli Jane slept through the party after she pooped all over me and her. What a challenge to change that kind of mess outside at a park! I was glad to have Mrs. Cranford there to help.

That's my little girl with the panties hanging out...oops!

No words needed...

Go Panthers!

Kevin and Blake went to the Panthers game today thanks to granddad today. They took Ronnie and Jackson Collins with them. They all had a blast!

Another home football game

We love our Saturdays in Columbia for football games. We get to see the Davis family a lot in the fall! Daddy has a new little gamecock!

First game

First game against another team of any sport...he enjoyed it. Kevin had to coach because the other two coaches were out, he did great!

A night out

I love our date nights. Kevin and I go out at least once a month because we have season tickets to the theatre. It's our anniversary present to each other each year. What a wonderful gift, time together! We love most shows and always enjoy a great dinner together. I prepare bottles, which I hear Lilli Jane loves, Delaney never did, and Delaney usually helps me get ready, she is trying on my boots for this particular date. They love their babysitters and usually have a pizza night.
Buy my favorite part is coming home and checking on them. I never know what I'm going to find...lights on, doors open, music on, random clothes, etc. but they always seem to be in crazy positions while sleeping hard. Blake snores a little, but breathes really loud, and sometimes you find Delaney laid out on the floor or in her chair asleep. I have learned to take my camera upstairs with me when I get home.

With Mama's lead we were off to Krispy Kreme today to get a free dozen donuts for dressing up like pirates! We took our extra dozen to the teachers at Oakland Dayschool.

Sweet girl!

Just like mommy

Delaney and I had a fun girls night tonight. Me and my baby, and her and her baby. She has a new nightgown that matches her babydoll's gown. She got her for Christmas two years ago, but hasn't played with her a whole lot, or at least like I thought she would, until recently. Yesterday and today she has not left her alone hardly. First we had a bath, a spa night with sugarscrub, then she got her baby dressed and put a diaper on her.
She realized she needed to nurse before bed, just like I do, so yes, she hiked her gown up and nursed her.
She grabbed her bed and took it upstairs.
She sang to her, off key, and turned the closet light on for her and shut the door.
Then, after a few min, she heard her crying, so she went up and rocked her, covered her up and put her back down for the night. Later that night after Delaney went to bed she got the baby in the bed with her and they slept side by side all night and she said she didn't cry at all. (Maybe that's how I need to get Lilli Jany to sleep all night).
The next day she had a tea party with her, watched a show, put her down for a nap, took her to church. She even had daddy come bring her home from church tonight with Lilli Jane and put her to bed. She was so happy when she came home to find her asleep already because of her daddy.
I told her at one point this afternoon that her baby was crying upstairs when I heard Lilli Jane on the monitor and she said, "No mommy, that's YOUR baby."

So, Delaney has a new baby

So proud that my niece, Taylor, pledged ZTA today! Lilli Jane and I got out my blanket of old bid day shirts to celebrate. I am so excited for her! (And jealous!)
