Blake and Aubrey are so cute together...they have a special friendship in the summer, they look at each other different than others...maybe one day?  His CA girl!

My beach bums

I adore this picture of the kids and me.  We had some fun memories at the beach this summer and this just sums it up!

Summer's gone

These kids have som much fun together.  They tye-dyed shirts at the Morgans and all wore them for this final Pirate Ship playdate.

Easter break at the beach

Easter break at the beach was a great week away, while there we learned about Jesus' death and resurection by reading stories each day and doing simple things like washing each other's feet and rubbing oil on them, making prayer stones, hiding resurrection eggs, learning to pray like Jesus, writing books about our week to read each year, and much more. The kids LOVE to learn about Him.  I hear Delaney on the microphone at home when she's alone preaching to her dolls and praying like Jesus would have, she may have preacher blood in her!  The Palm branches at church are always a hit with these, they enjoy passing them out to others especially. 

UNC Women's Soccer Team

We had the opportunity to meet the UNC women's soccer team when they were in Oib this summer. The coaches stayed in the Cheek's house next door to us. One of htm had a son that came over and played soccer with Blake a lot. Come to find out afterwards his mom was a National Championship winner when she played there and is now married to a coach. She played with Blake too and talked about his potential. Her son was so great with him too. We asked if they would get a few of th girls to sign his ball and they said they asked the right girl and she had all of them sign it! How fun! This is a keeper!

Spring break beach days

 

Easter...He is risen!

Easter was extra special this year, not only did I really dig deeper into the stories of Jesus and His life, but I taught them to our kids and they got it. They were able to grasp His death a little and that it was an awesome thing God did for each of us I believe. We had a project and scripture each day (most were at the beach). We learned how to love others, be kind to others, and live like Jesus. We complied all of the stories and have them hanging in our house with beautiful water colors on top of them now, because we need to remember Him and what He did everyday. They looked forward to our devotions each day. We wrote our sins on stones and have them to remember what they are and now pray to ask forgiveness for them. This was a great age to begin this Easter journey. The bunny did visit, but I think they were more excited about putting their flowers on the cross at church Sunday morning than the bunny coming to visit. Go God! Keep working through us to teach our children about You!

Date night!

I love a beautiful restaurant and a good bottle of wine with my husband on date night. We could talk forever on these nights.

 

Independence

Lilli Jane wants to do so many things by herself now...she tries and tries until she succeeds at something. She is a determined girl!
