Potty Training for the 3rd time!

I wrote a very simular blog to this that I read this weekend.Delaney potty training.  Come to find out, Lilli Jane is ready at 20 months just like her sister!  She has gone consistently for the past two days when we have been home and diaperless.  The first few times we had a struggle to stay sitting on the potty, wasn't sure what was going on, but once it came she was so happy for herself.  Flushing is the favorite part of course!  And you can't forget the M&M!  Of course the big kids like the dumping part (from the little potty to the big one).  Delaney has kind of taken this on herself, she cheers for her, grabs her toliet paper, and asks if she needs to go all the time.  She still is fine with a diaper at nap and night and on the go, Delaney just got out of a pull up at night just before Christmas, so we are a ways from that and I know now you just have to wait on them to be ready for that.  Having her trained during the day would be great!  I don't think we will stop training, she is well on her way!  Yay!!!  Pictures to come later...my phone won't download them tonight.

Long hair good-bye

Last picture of my long hair and I finally got it in an up-do   Actually Delaney did most of the rolling work.  She is quite the hairstylist these days.

Friends

I was always taught growing up that Christian friends are the best ones, especially the ones you go to church with (that was so my parents knew their parents I'm sure), but it's true, we think alike, have the same morals and values and live life so paralell that it makes a great friend.  Kevin and I were blessed to party with 4 of those couple tonight...Freemans, Wacasters, Williams, and Collins.  We love these friends and are so thankful they are each in our lives for different reasons.

Gotcha Day

January 20...the day they placed Blake in my arms when he was 4 weeks old.  We celebrate with a fun dinner experience and we read his story and then Delaney's story.  They are old enough to enjoy these books I made about their first fews days of life now.  I never get tired of reliving those days.

Monster Truck Show

Blake and Kevin went with David, Pam, Coalson, and Peyton to the Monster Truck Show in Charlotte today.  They got to celebrate Coalson's 7th birthday while they were there too.  Blake had a great time and wasn't scared of the noise too much.

Sunday morning picture session

I love these three and their BIG personalities!

Rollar Skating

Delaney experienced rollar skating at Kate's Skating Rink for the first time today.  It's the same place I learned a long time ago and she did pretty good, she kept falling, but kept getting back up.  It was Jeb's birthday party.  Many friends from school were there. She can't wait to take Blake back to try soon.

Kaitlyn cheers

We went and watched Kaitlyn and about 10 other squads cheer in Charlotte today.  They got third place out of ten teams, that is AWESOME, we were so excited to get to watch her.  Lilli Jane wasn't real sure about the loud music, luckily Grandpa was there to help her out!

Coalson is 7!

We celebrate with Coalson and friends tonight in his backyard with a football party.  Blake played with the big kids and Delaney brought her pom poms and cheer outfit and had a great time!  They love Coalson and enjoyed hotdogs and cookie cake with him.  then they got to spend the night with Mama and Granddad and had a fun time.  Kevin and I enjoyed time out with the Casons and much needed good night sleep without being woken by kids this morning!

Math Boys

he has a math mind like his dad!  They were working hard to get this balanced tonight.  A new game for both my boys!

Basketball season

We are excited that Blake and Coalson are playing basketball at Oakland together with David as their coach!  They have a good little team of 6 and all are having a ball!  Blake made his first 2 baskets tonight and all 4 grandparents were there to see!  We are so excited for him!

Isabella

This is Delaney's current best friend, Isabella Vass.  The two of the and Darcy York are sweet girls that all play together well and have fun without being mean to each other.  I'm glad Delaney is one of them!  We'll get Darcy in the picture next time.

Lots of kids

Today was a half day for the school district so I helped out a couple friends and had extra kids during the day.

I picked up the big kids, Blake, Callie, and Sadie at 11, then off to get Delaney and Lilli Jane at 11:45 from preschool.

We all piled in the car and went to Chick-Fil-A with Coalson, Peyton, and his friend for lunch.
Later, just before art class, Brandy and the twins came over to play, Lilli Jane thought she'd potty train Mallory.  They both tried.

100 books!

We were all excited when Blake read 100 books and we were able to take a trip to the Great Wolf Lodge to celebrate!  We left Lilli Jane with David and Pam so it made it even more fun being able to stay up late, not nap, and have fun with just the four of us.  (We promise we will take you when you are old enough LJ, but the big kids have waited for this, they are finally ready).

We had to encourage them to go down a couple of the slides, they were not a big fan of the "family slide" where I took the selfie and missed everyone but Kevin.  But they loved the tube slides and Delaney loved the blue and orange slide that went FAST!

We enjoyed great food together, story time at night in the lobby that was so cool with the fireplace, grand clock, different colored lights, and animals everywhere.  They played video games for the first time really in an arcade, made origami wolves, slept in a cool den club bunk room together, watched part of a movie, colored a pillow case and played in the Cub Club, and even bowled in a mini bowling alley.  Kevin and I had as much fun as they did!
