Art Show at ODS

The kids had their art show tonight at ODS. They both have a book I made them with all their artwork from the year in it that they can keep forever instead of keeping all the actual artwork. I can't wait to get them in the mail!

First golf tournament

Thanks to Granddad and his tickets Kevin got to take Blake to his first golf tournament, Wells Fargo Championship, in Charlotte. When they got on the bus they saw his bat friend James and his granddaddy so they hung out while watching them. He even got a singed golf ball from one of the players!

Sibling Class

The big kids went to CMC today for a class on how to be a big sister and big brother, Delaney let Blake borrow a doll to take. She was all in to it and loved the class. Blake enjoyed it too, but she was jumping in answering questions and doing everything the teacher asked.m they left with a new hat and certificate.

My little soccer player

We have began sports...Blake is playing Jr. ROAR soccer this spring and loves it.  He is quite the player, he picked up on techniques quickly.  He asks when am I going to play longer, when will I have games?  It's just 30 min warm up and 15 min scrimmage each week.  He'll be doing a soccer camp this summer and I think he'll really enjoy that with some older kids every morning for a week.  

A few outside activities

We are so happy we can play outside now~time for ribs ont he grill, picking carrots from the garden, and lying them out to count them (haha), and a puppet show at Coalon's house.  He made customized puppets for everyone!  So sweet.

Musical Mania!

A few fun times this week...

Blake and his best friend James at Spencer Dixon's birthday party at Baxter's Bunch wearing their google eyes.  These were a big hit!

Delaney liked to "drive" all the trucks at Everything Trucks with Come-See-Me this year...no one was scared of the horns this year, yay!!!

It's spring!  We are so excited about the yard turning green, flowers coming up, blooms on the trees and most of all planting the garden.  I didn't get a picture of them helping to plant the garden and pick out the veggies at the Farmer's Exchange, but they sure had fun with it!  

This is their "watching TV" stare.  They currently get to watch one show if they are dressed and finished with their fruit at breakfast in time before school in the mornings and if they take a good nap sometimes in the afternoon they get one show.  They like Calliou (D favorite), George, The Bernstein Bears, Arthur, and sometime Sesame Street, mainly Elmo and the faires though. 

Sleeping angels

Since the wait at Sundae's with Glen and Mother Goose was so long to get their faces painted we opted to let Cousin Taylor paint them later in the week in hopes that they would stay painted a couple of days.  It only lasted a night, but they were sure cute sleeping in the face paint.  On their way to school today with it sort of rubbed off, but we have great pictures of her artwork to remember them.

Delaney said, "Mommy I keep you dry".  She was so proud to help me (note, it was a beautiful sunny day).

Big kids

They seem so grown up.  They have such a passion for reading, I love it!  If we skip reading time before nap due to time sometimes they get really upset.  Blake loves it more, but his passion has rubbed off on Delaney.  They recently discovered my old Alice in Bibleland stories and those are current favorites, along with George of course!  Delaney likes George best.  Blake loves anything about the Bible.  We do a devotion each morning at breakfast, they really love that too! 

A few good friends...

This group always has a lot of laughs when they get together...so many kids now, it's so hard to get them together more often, I wish we could.  We sure missed Maggie and Riley on this evening.

Wild Wing Cafe

One of the kids favorite places to eat now that we have a new one in Rock Hill. We went to this one in Conway with Gertie today.
