January Review...

Mission Friends at church does a wonderful job with the kids, this was Delaney after learning the "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" verse.

Family Promise was at church and we went to eat supper with them and play with the kids.

The QCP Playdates are a hit!  They really enjoy each other now.

Games at Mama's house are in high demand these days, they all LOVE being with her.

Lilli Jane "adopted" an older man at church this year on her own.  His name is Mr. Mack.  She just loves to hug him.  He brought her a little present, a bag with animal crackers in it, then later on near her birthday he and his wife, Betty Jones, gave her pillows Betty's mom made a long time ago.  So sweet!

Breakfast is a memory that I don't want to forget at the age they are now. 

Delaney's best friend right now is Maleah.  She came to play after-school one day.

Coalson's birthday party

Coalson's birthday party was to play basketball with the Winthrop basketball team...Blake loved it!  He looks so little out there on the sidelines with the players.  It was a fun experience for all the kids!

They even came to have a cupcake with the kids after the game...Jimmy Gavin is a great guy, he stuck around for a picture with the boys.

Snow Day!

After a full day of icy rain and sleet we finally got to go out and play in the dusting of snow on top of ice.  It was pretty!  

The kids had some good sledding and we got to get warm in the treehouse, we are waiting on it to be warm enough to play in it now.   And we need to paint it! 

The cousins and grandparents came over for Chili by Chef Kevin for lunch.  Lilli Jane is so funny playing with Peyton, she's either shy around him or so giggly!  I think she has a crush on him.  We had a great day, but we need to get back to school!  We missed one day and have a delay on Monday, which cancels preschool! 

Christmas present at work

Kevin and I tried our new meat grinder out I got for Christmas to make meat balls.  How fun and yummy!  And organic and whole!

21st birthday presents...

For all our nieces and nephews and kids we got a bottle of wine, with the help of Walter Sherman, from the year they were born that will keep for 21 years and be in it's prime to drink at that time.  We don't have Lilli Jane's from 2013 yet, but here are the rest and a picture of the big kids with their bottle they will drink with Kevin and I in 15-16 years.  How fun!

Sweet Blake's Gotha' Day!

We went to dinner, just the 3 of us, to Fish Market in Fort Mill all dressed up.  He ordered an adult Shrimp and Grits, it changed his way of thinking about food.  He LOVES new dishes.

Mountain Trip

We traveled to the mountains for MLK weekend with the Collins Family, who are also going to be our new neighbors in 4 short weeks!  We were excited to let the kids vacation together and get excited about living near each other again.  

The first day we hung out in the house while it rained and rained.  We played games, explored the house with all kinds of fun things, including a movie room, and enjoyed each other's company.

Day 2 we headed out for a morning hike near the house for a mile or 2.  Lilli Jane got to ride on our back, but the rest of the kids did such a great job!  

Then we headed to Chimney Rock and hiked up 500 steps to the top since the elevator was broken.  I carried Lilli Jane all the way up!  We felt accomplished!  Kevin carried her down and I think he had the harder job to balance with jello legs.  We both made it.

Day 3 it snowed a very little bit, but the kids had fun and we loved watching it come down in the mountains.  Then we headed to Wolf laurel to tube.  What an experience, it was so much fun!  Again a workout getting kids up the hill and big ice steps, but all had a great hour of fun!

Daisy the Dog

Delaney got Daisy for the whole weekend...she is the class pet.  She had to take pictures with her and write about their journey together and then share it with her class.  We had a fun-filled weekend with her!  She went to Family Promise and even saw Mrs. Doyle at church!
