Halloween

A very cute WoMan in the Yellow hat and Curious Blake. He stay in character during pictures and wouldn't talk, just used George language an jumped around. Delaney was directing him, they were doing their own little improv thing...priceless!

I love her outfit from behind, I was so upset that all night I never realized that I forgot to put Blake's Curious George shirt on him! I realized it like a month later when I was looking at pictures!

Homecoming

We had a great time at homecoming at PC today! The kids got to visit Taylor in her room, see where I went to school and experience a PC home football game, something I didn't even experience much of in college. We enjoyed spending time with Taylor, Ivey, and Katy! and visiting with other friends that I graduated with 10 years ago! By 4pm we were all exhausted and headed back to Rock Hill. Kevin was the only one awake on the way home driving.

 

School Days

The kids both love school. Today was "g" day, so Delaney took her American Girl to school for show and tell. They were also staying for lunch bunch, they are growing up too fast!

Field Trip Day

Delaney's first field trip of the year was to Cotton Hills Farms. We had a great time with all her friends from class. Maleah and James are two of her favorite friends this year. There is also Donna, The twins, Noah, and Gracie that I hear her talk about sometimes. It was great to see them interact with each other.

 

Princess party

Delaney had a ball at this princess party for Riley Norman. She wants hers to be just like it. We'll have to see how to pull that off with all her friends (mainly boys). Her and Mason had cute faces!

 

Fall Beach

We had a great weekend get away to OIB this weekend. Pam and Peyton were on a youth trip, so it was just the little kids. We missed them. The little kids had fun doing little kid stuff, like swimming in huge hot tub warmed up just a little, feeding the seagulls, playing on the beach in long sleeves, playing on the pirate ship, and riding bikes, we came down for the oyster festival and enjoyed it Sat and Sun morning near the museum. There were amusement rides for the kids, arts & crafts, oysters, music, dancing, and other food to enjoy. We all had fun! Lilli Jane isn't a fan of the car we found out on this trip. I hope she's not going to be as bad as Blake the first year.

Best buddies

James and Blake have become best buddies over the past two years. They played against each other in soccer tonight. What fun!

 

Lunch date

A weekly lunch date with friends at Chick-Fli-A is one of our highlites each week. Today we went with Spencer, Grace, and James.

5 months old is so much fun!

You are 5 months old today. You amaze me each day with all the new things you do. You are almost sitting alone now. You can hold your self up for a few seconds, and you can still hold on to something for a few seconds and stand. You are so strong. You have begun to eye our food and grad at anything that we are eating, of course you grab at everything within reach anyway, but you seem to know what food is. I have given you some tastes of banana, avocado, apple sauce, lima beans, green beans, and oatmeal cereal so far just from the tip of my finger. You dive at the next bite, smack your lips, and smile.

You are the happiest baby I know. You smile at everyone and anyone that says anything to you. Even if your sister messes with you and it makes you cry a little you go right back to smiling at her. You have a sparkle in your eyes as you grin so big. You laugh when I sing the Itsy Bitsy Spider while the spider crawls up your body even before it hits your hips. (Delaney and I are ticklish on our hips too).

You nurse like a champ now. You went through a growth spurt earlier this week, but seem to be past it. Those last about 4-5 days for you. You get up on average once a night now, but last night after mama put you to bed you slept 13 hours! Way to go! It may be a one time thing, but you are heading in the right direction girl! I was sad I didn't get to see you from 5pm until 7am though (we went out). I believe that is the longest I have ever gone.

You are getting up on all fours and rocking in your crib a lot and some on the floor. You are ready to be on the move so you can find what to put in your mouth next. You have taken several naps on mommy lately and you still LOVE that. You don't like to sleep in your carseat though wether it's in the car or the stroller, but you stay happy in it.

You are showing your laid back, go with the flow personality already and we all love it. You are so special to all of us, but especially me right now, I just love hugging you and loving on you. You are so sweet and as Blake says, "I just can't get enough of you, you are just so sweet." He loves you so very much! Delaney is still a little rough, but she is coming around too.
