Friends

I was always taught growing up that Christian friends are the best ones, especially the ones you go to church with (that was so my parents knew their parents I'm sure), but it's true, we think alike, have the same morals and values and live life so paralell that it makes a great friend.  Kevin and I were blessed to party with 4 of those couple tonight...Freemans, Wacasters, Williams, and Collins.  We love these friends and are so thankful they are each in our lives for different reasons.

Mission Friends serving...

This year Carrie came in to Mission Friends and really turned it in to an amazing thing for the kids. She taught them Bible Verses, scripture, what it's like to be a missionary, who they are and why we need them, and about how we can be missionaries in our own community. I am so thankful to her and for what she did in our children's lives this year. I hope that we can bring that in to GAs and continue their thirst for knowledge for missions. The kids filled their banks with change, collected change at supper, brought in diapers and wipes to make baskets for the mission center, and prayed for the missionaries they studied. It was beautiful!

Fundraisers

The 3rd fundraiser of the week is complete!  Yay~I can breath again…course they did make me sick.  I had fever this week and last night during the Art’s Council Event contractions hit me and today I believe it was the stomach bug and more contractions, resting now to get better.

OBC World Missions Fundraiser last Sat night…$10,000 raised during a silent auction

iRock Fundraiser was on Tuesday night…$200,000 raised at a formal event

Disabilities Board Fundraiser yesterday…$20,000 raised at 3-on-3 tournament
