Date night

We had a last minute date night tonight to George's Bistro in Charlotte, one of our favorite places to eat, but first I made dinner for the kids, I had to eat some for an appetizer though, it was so yummy!

Baby Lucy

Chuck, Katie, and Lucy Collins came to visit today!  She is our God daughter and we just adore her!  She is the sweetest 1 year old and my kids love playing with her!  I think Lilli Jane thinks her baby dolls are supposed to come alive like her.  Last night we got some kid free time with Katie and Chuck on my birthday.  It was so nice to see them and spend some time catching up.  We gave Lucy her first scooter and it seems it's a hit!  Blake rode her around for 30 minutes on it!  

Date night!

I just love date nights with Kevin!  We try to get out about 1-2 a month at least, sometimes it ends up being more, or a date night at home with kids in bed.  Tonight we went out to the Oak Room in downtown Columbia while the kids stayed at Nanny and Grandpa's house.  We love their food and speciality drinks here!  We went back to the condo afterwards and had wonderful conversation.  It was a great date night as always!

Birthday cruise

Kevin and I enjoyed a cruise out of Charleston for his birthday this year...41...Mary and Jason Freeman and his brother and girlfriend were there too.  We had a great, relaxing time!

I love dating Kevin!  We have the best time together.  We feel it's important to get time away from the kids by ourselves and enjoy life together, it not only makes us stronger as a couple to be better parents together, but lets us have fun together and always giving our marriage a refresh.  It's important for them to see us loving each other and it's important for us to have breaks so we are refreshed to be better parents.  We love our kids and try to cherish minutes with them, but boy do we treasure minutes with just each other!  Thanks for a fun date night in Lexington tonight at the Wine and Walk!

Coalson is 7!

We celebrate with Coalson and friends tonight in his backyard with a football party.  Blake played with the big kids and Delaney brought her pom poms and cheer outfit and had a great time!  They love Coalson and enjoyed hotdogs and cookie cake with him.  then they got to spend the night with Mama and Granddad and had a fun time.  Kevin and I enjoyed time out with the Casons and much needed good night sleep without being woken by kids this morning!

New Year's Eve

Kevin and I spent New Year's Eve and a few days around it in Asheville, NC.  We had a great, much needed get away.  We had an excellent lunch at Curate the first day that led to an evening of chatting and sitting by the fire, then a nice full day at the spa at The Grove Park, my favorite!!!!  

New Year's Eve, after the day at the spa, we stayed at the hotel and enjoyed their party together with new friends we met at our table and finished the night at the dueling piano bar. It was a great way to rind in 2015!  

Then we wen to The Biltmore and explored it all day behind the scenes and during the Candlelight tour.  It was so beautiful and we were educated by our own personal tour guide.   We came back to warm up by the grand fire in the Grove Park and enjoyed another evening in the main inn on floor 6!

Kevin and I LOVE our date nights, sometimes we go to fundraisers, sometimes we stay home and play yatzee, or have a glass of wine on the porch, and our monthly date is to the theatre in Charlotte with a great meal before.  Tonight we went with David and Brandy to dinner and had a wonderful double date.

A beautiful golf day

Kevin and I had a day date at the Wells Fargo Golf Tournament. We enjoyed walking around the beautiful course seeing the houses, watching the players, and enjoying each other. I love my husband so much. We have so much fun together, but the best part is we like to have fun the same way. Today it was sitting together, people watching, sipping on a Bloody Mary, and enjoying the beautiful weather. I love that we want to do the same things, it's what keeps our marriage in check because neither of us get bored. Thanks Kevin for being my best friend and the person I always want to be with, all the time!

I love a beautiful restaurant and a good bottle of wine with my husband on date night. We could talk forever on these nights.

 

The Ball

Dr. Comstock, the new President of Winthrop was innogorated yesterday and Kevin and I had the honor of going to the Innogoration Ball tonight. What a beautiful, formal, and elegant event! That was something I will not have the chance to do much and really enjoyed it.

Happy Anniversary!

Kevin and I celebrated 9 years together today with a trip to the spa at the Ritz Carlton and dinner in Charlotte. We had a very special day and much needed time away from home together. He is such an amazing man! God blessed me when I met him over 10 years ago with one of the most caring, loving, funny, and amazing men on Earth! I cherish our time together and love raising kids with him!
