Table hammocks

This sheet is the favorite toy in the house right now. It's a table hammock, a blanket, a parachute, a tent, a mushroom cover, and many more things. They love to be pulled around on it and hide. An easy, cheap toy!

 

Best friends

Delaney has two best friends right now, but neither will be in her class next year, so we will see what unfolds with that. Harper came home from school with her today and they had a good time making rainbow cake (they had face paint at school to make them into clowns and I couldn't get it all off), playing bubbles, and running around chasing each other in the house starting at the fireplace. Blake played well with them too for the most part, three is always a crowd though.

Spring break beach days

 

A night out

We have nights out with David, Pam, and my parents (the six of us), all th time for fundraisers, events, dinners, but tonight at Phillip and Leigh Reynolds's wedding we had Taylor with us. It's so nice to hang out with her now that she is an adult and becoming a part of our adult group. I look forward to many more outings with her as the years go by, what a beautiful young lady she is becoming!

Easter...He is risen!

Easter was extra special this year, not only did I really dig deeper into the stories of Jesus and His life, but I taught them to our kids and they got it. They were able to grasp His death a little and that it was an awesome thing God did for each of us I believe. We had a project and scripture each day (most were at the beach). We learned how to love others, be kind to others, and live like Jesus. We complied all of the stories and have them hanging in our house with beautiful water colors on top of them now, because we need to remember Him and what He did everyday. They looked forward to our devotions each day. We wrote our sins on stones and have them to remember what they are and now pray to ask forgiveness for them. This was a great age to begin this Easter journey. The bunny did visit, but I think they were more excited about putting their flowers on the cross at church Sunday morning than the bunny coming to visit. Go God! Keep working through us to teach our children about You!

Water tower

The kids touched the new water tower at the beach! Not many people can say they have done that!

 

Easter at Gertie's house

Our sweet Lilli Jane with Jane who she is named for. Gertie got to see her first steps that happened at her house today! What a cool thing to always have between the two of them!

All the girls practicing their gymnastics while Blake and Kevin went on a bike ride down the street together.  This was their first trip on the road and together!  How sweet!

Kaitlyn prepared a great egg hunt for the kids, I think the big kids had as much fun planning and hiding as they had finding them!

Date night!

I love a beautiful restaurant and a good bottle of wine with my husband on date night. We could talk forever on these nights.

 

Independence

Lilli Jane wants to do so many things by herself now...she tries and tries until she succeeds at something. She is a determined girl!

When the big kids have to go to time out Lilli Jane always seems to want to join them...I bet in a few years she will be running the other way!
