It's that time of year again....time for the pool!

Granddad

Granddad sure loves his job....being a Granddad, and that is sure his #1 priority right now. I love watching him hold Lilli Jane, she fits perfectly in his arms.

This is Lilli Jane May 2013, 2 weeks old.

This is Delaney in March 2010, 6 weeks old.

Meeting Grandma Jane

Lilli Jane is named after Gertie, as the grandchildren call her. We took Lilli Jane to visit her today for the first time. Gertie could have held her all day. She loves babies.

I left to do some shopping for 45 min. She didn't like me going away. It was the first time. I guess she could smell that I wasn't there because she started screaming while I was gone.

Swim lessons!

This was a fun week taking swim lessons everyday with Miss Heather. Delaney was a little nervous of the water, but Blake didn't really miss a beat from last year, he is swimming across the pool already and treading water about 10 seconds. We are so proud of both of them!

A visit in Columbia

 

We made our first visit to Nanny and Grandpa's house today as a family of 5. All three were quiet on the ride there. We had a great time and continued on to the beach from there. The rides so far have been good.

 

Blake and Lilli Jane

Blake loves that Lilli Jane has his hair. This was the outfit we brought him home in from Las Vegas, he was so proud when she had it on today, it fits her as a 2 week old...he was 4 weeks old and it was a little big. These sweet babies! I need to find the picture of Delaney in this and add it too.

ODS End of year parties

Delaney had Mrs. Helms' class end of the year parties at Jonah's house. I couldn't believe all the kids sat on the blanket to eat lunch and stayed seated, maybe I need 10 other 3 year olds daily to help keep her seated during meals. She will not stay seated during meals at home.

Her other end of the year party for Ms. Tina's class was at Chick-Fil-A. She showed all the boys how to climb to the top of the playground. She may be the only girl, but she holds her own with all the boys.

 

Blake's end of the year party for Mrs. Cranford's class was at his best friend's house, James. Kevin took him to the party and had to leave him and I picked him up so we both got to enjoy it a little bit. The kids love playing together and are at that age now where they want to play with friends, not just by themselves. It's so sweet. He'll miss some of these friends next year, but is excited that many will be in his class again with Mrs. Taylor next year in the 4 year old program.

 

A picnic in the QCP Park

Boy do I miss those days of just last min getting together with our friends in the QCP…4 years ago this was so easy to do, just walk out on your front porch and there was someone to have a cocktail with.  Now…it takes a little planning, bottles, bikes, wipes, sippy cups, and much more, but we can still do it and boy is it worth it with these 10 sweet kids!  We sure love the Casons, Fishers, and Collins families!!!!

Ice cream day with daddy

Daddy is enjoying his time home with the kids. Today they made peach ice cream.

Both got to use the food processor and help with the ice cream churn putting ice in. I think they had more fun making it then eating it.

Lilli Jane decided to sleep through the process.

The first two weeks Lilli Jane slept just about anywhere and in any position.  I love watching her and listening to her little noises.

Mommy and Daddy both have enjoyed naps with Lilli Jane, something so small sure can wear you out!

What have the big kids been up to?

The past two weeks as we have settled in to a family of five we haven’t slowed down much.  We have been downtown for a festival, church twice, Chick-Fil-A, two parks, had dinner with two families, gone to a beach bash, and much more.  The big kids, as I call them now, have not missed a beat.  Delaney has enjoyed dressing up, I didn’t find many pictures without her dressed in something, lol.  They played in the sprinkler Nanny gave her (finally it was warm enough), rode bikes, played in the yard, danced, helped daddy clean out the garage, hold the baby, etc.  We are ready for summer!
