Simple things

We just hung out today enjoying some of the simple and fun things in life.

 

Outside bed

Lilli Jane decided the waterfall in the pool, wind in her hair, and warmth would be enough for her in her little outside bed. That lasted a little while, then she was back to the arms of whoever would hold her. It sure takes a while to get out of the habit of being held. Of course it's all she knows, she was inside me being "held" for 9 months, we will gradually get there, for now I'm enjoying every minute as much as a can, I know one day she won't need me to hold her anymore.

Sibling Love

Blake likes to hold Lilli Jane and does a great job at it. I can leave the room even while he holds her. He just stares at her and smiles at her.

Delaney would rather hold her when she's very happy for a quick period of time. When she is done she kind of pushes her away, someone has to stay right there all the time. She asks to hold her all the time, but doesn't get a chance to very often. Lilli Jane doesn't care how she is held by her siblings, she just sits there and let's them do as they please. I know she understands already the difference between them and other kids. I think that is great!

 

Sisters...

Delaney has had some mixed emotions while adjusting to Lilli Jane's arrival.  She sure loves her with all her heart and shows her by hugging and kissing her all the time.  She also will poke and squeeze her, try to flop her head around and rock her a little too hard.  I asked her the other day if she was trying to hurt her and she said yes.  Oh no, I hope that was an accidental answer that she meant to say no to.  Lilli Jane doesn't really cry when she messes with her though, so I know she loves her sister and doesn't mind what she doesto her.  Delaney will come around and start to teach her more and more as she smiles at her, laughs, and interacts, but for right now, all eyes on her when she's near her.

Fun new toys at the beach

The kayaks dad got for Christmas were a big hit with both kids.
